Papermerge DMS

Papermerge DMS, or Papermerge for short, is an open-source document management system built for processing scanned documents.

The actively maintained open-source application is self-hosted, licensed under Apache 2.0 and uses Python. The database documentation for version 3.5 lists SQLite, PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB. The version matrix announces that version 3.6 drops SQLite support and recommends migrating to PostgreSQL. Database support therefore depends on the version.

Separate Cloud Version

According to the project, the public repository and Papermerge Cloud have separate codebases. Features and releases of the cloud service are not automatically part of this open-source version. The Apache license of the community repository also grants no corresponding rights to the separate cloud code. Reliably attributing additional features requires a dedicated edition comparison.
