Proprietary Edition & Add-on Modules

According to the vendor's comparison, Alfresco Content Services builds on the Community core and adds proprietary components. Depending on the version, these include clustering, advanced administration and additional integrations. The linked overview also covers older versions. For a current purchase, check the exact scope of the version and the contract.

According to the same source, Alfresco Office Services in particular is a proprietary add-on, even though you can combine it with a Community installation. Such a combination is not a purely LGPL-licensed feature set.

According to the vendor's licensing information, separate license terms apply to the Enterprise components. The respective contract defines their usage rights, not the LGPL of the Community core.

For additional SSO connections, the vendor documents a SAML module. Check its license rights separately. The open-source SSO information on this page refers to the documented Kerberos and external SSO connections of the Community Edition, not to every add-on module.
