Mattermost
Mattermost is a team communication platform with channels, direct messages, file sharing and search. Integrations connect conversations with other applications and workflows.
The actively maintained Team Edition is self-hosted and uses Go, TypeScript, React and PostgreSQL. Its open-source licenses differ from those of the additional enterprise components. The current Team Edition does not include SSO.

Proprietary Enterprise Offerings
Depending on the plan, the enterprise offerings add SSO, central policies, compliance and administration features to the Team Edition. MCP access via Mattermost Agents is documented for Enterprise and above and for the Entry license. Entry is free, but it belongs to the proprietary Enterprise Edition, not to the open-source Team Edition.
The project's license file distinguishes between AGPL-3.0 for the core source code, Apache-2.0 for certain interface and configuration components and MIT for the Team Edition binaries provided by the vendor.
The Enterprise Edition contains proprietary features. Its license prohibits reverse engineering and tampering with the license key check, among other things. These terms also apply to the free Entry license, but not to the separately licensed open-source core.
