Twenty

Twenty positions itself as a modern open-source alternative to traditional CRM systems and focuses on customizable customer processes.

The actively maintained open-source base can be self-hosted and is licensed mostly under AGPL-3.0, with some MIT-licensed packages. It primarily uses TypeScript. Depending on the plan, hosted plans include additional features.

Source-Available Enterprise Features

The additional organization and enterprise features include SAML/OIDC SSO, row-level permissions, and audit logs, among others. Enterprise adds SCIM and IP allowlists, for example. The license file separates the visible files marked with @license Enterprise from the open core. A paid cloud plan alone, on the other hand, does not prove the license of every feature it includes.

According to the license file in the repository, the remaining parts are licensed under AGPL-3.0 with an additional permission for standalone applications, or under MIT for correspondingly marked packages. The proprietary terms do not apply to this open core.

Production use of the enterprise files requires a valid Enterprise subscription for the appropriate number of hosts and user seats as well as compliance with the agreed contract terms. Copying and modifying them for development and testing is permitted without a subscription. Beyond that, the proprietary enterprise license grants no general rights to redistribute, sublicense, or sell these components.
